65% of St. Maarten's Teachers Graduated from USM

Who is teaching our teachers how to teach?
USM has an essential role in promoting and conserving knowledge about our unique culture throughout the generations.
The majority (65%) of teachers on St. Maarten have graduated from USM.

In a global and fast-changing environment that includes the Internet and the overflow of information:

— Local teachers pass on vital local and cultural information to the island and region's future minds.

— We should stay at the cutting edge.
The constant flood of information surrounding us makes discerning the truth from deception a formidable challenge. Moreover, the accelerated pace at which scientific knowledge evolves is astounding. Sharp critical thinking skills have become more important than ever. "Learning how to learn" is what our teachers are taught to teach!
