The Spring 2026 semester of the ESL Program at USM officially begins today, Monday, February 23, 2026.

Students from across the community are taking the next step toward improving their English proficiency for work, further studies, and daily communication. The ESL@USM programme continues to serve as an accessible entry point for individuals seeking to strengthen their language skills in a supportive and structured environment.

With small class sizes, experienced instructors, and a focus on real-life communication skills, the program is designed to support learners at every level, from foundational English to more advanced language development.

While classes begin today, limited spaces remain available. Interested persons who were unable to attend placement testing earlier this month are encouraged to contact the ESL office immediately to inquire about late placement options and registration availability.

The Spring semester runs from February 23 through May 29, 2026. Students are reminded that payment arrangements must be finalized by March 31, with final payments due by April 30.

USM remains committed to providing opportunities for lifelong learning and workforce development within the community.
