Join the Fight Against Dengue: A Call to Action to Take

Dengue, transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes, poses a significant health risk. The recent surge in cases is a reminder that our community is not immune to this threat. However, through collective efforts and increased awareness, we can take proactive steps to protect ourselves and our loved ones.
The team at USM, in collaboration with Collective Prevention Services, hereby brings your attention to an increase in reported dengue cases in the community of St. Maarten. CPS is currently monitoring the neighboring islands with similar experience. and calls on the community to exercise heightened caution and remain vigilant!

1. Assess your home and workplace for potential dengue mosquito breeding sites.
2. Use mosquito repellent. Follow direction of product label)
3. Wear light-colored clothing at dusk and dawn, when the aedes aegypti most frequently feeds.
