Students, staff, alumni, Rotarians, and volunteers joined forces during SXM DOET 2026 to beautify and refresh the University of St. Martin campus.
The University of St. Martin (USM) proudly participated in SXM DOET 2026, bringing together students, staff, alumni, community members, and volunteers for a day focused on service, teamwork, and campus beautification.
The initiative saw a strong turnout, particularly from young volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to repainting, cleaning, and enhancing various areas of the campus grounds.
Throughout the day, volunteers worked together to refresh the university environment, including repainting sections of the campus and improving the appearance of outdoor spaces to create a cleaner and more welcoming atmosphere for students and visitors alike.
Dedicated USM staff members also assisted alongside contractors who supported the effort by transporting and spreading gravel to help level uneven sections of the campus grounds.
Adding to the spirit of community collaboration, USM alumna and proud Rotarians joined the initiative by restoring and repainting the campus’ Free Library, located at the entrance of the university. The refreshed library continues to serve as a symbol of community learning, literacy, and knowledge sharing.
The SXM DOET project highlighted the power of volunteerism and collective effort, while also reinforcing the importance of maintaining educational spaces that reflect pride, growth, and opportunity.
The University of St. Martin extends sincere gratitude to all volunteers, partners, staff, Rotarians, alumni, and community members who contributed their time and effort to the success of the project.
Through initiatives such as SXM DOET, USM continues to strengthen its commitment to community engagement, collaboration, and creating a positive environment for present and future generations.
