USM recently participated in the Career Fair hosted by the St. Maarten Vocational Training School, where representatives connected with students to discuss their future educational and career aspirations.

Representing USM were Shobhan Giterson Marketing Consultant and Patricia Jansen from the Student Service Center. During the session, students engaged in meaningful discussions about their dreams after high school and were encouraged to remain focused, resilient, and committed to achieving their goals.

As part of the presentation, students viewed two videos highlighting the GED Program. One featured testimonials from former GED students who successfully completed the program, while another included remarks from respected educator Ms. Ferrol, who spoke about the value and recognition of the GED pathway.

To make the session interactive, students participated in a recap quiz and won prizes, reinforcing key messages about educational opportunities available at USM.

USM extends sincere appreciation to the St. Maarten Vocational Training School for the opportunity to participate in this important initiative. The university looks forward to continued collaboration and hopes to return next year to further support students in exploring their academic futures.
