USM ESL Program Deadline Approaching

The University of St. Martin reminds the public that the deadline to apply for the English as a Second Language (ESL) Program is Friday, September 5, 2025. Late applications will be accepted until September 8 with same-day placement testing. Classes run Sept. 22–Dec. 12, 2025.
For those who miss the main deadline, late applications will be accepted until Monday, September 8, 2025. However, applicants must complete their placement test on the same day of their registration in order to determine their academic level for the course.
The ESL Program at USM is open to everyone, including workers, parents, and students preparing for further studies. With flexible class times, excursions, and practical exercises, the program focuses on building confidence in everyday English use for both personal and professional growth.
“English is a bridge to opportunity,” said ESL Coordinator Corinne Lejuez-VanPutten. “We encourage individuals and employers to take advantage of this program to improve communication, service, and future opportunities.”
