USM Hosts Public Lecture on Perimenopause and Menopause

In observance of World Menopause Day, USM invites the public to “(Peri)Menopause… Nobody Told Me This!” on October 15 for an open conversation on hormonal changes, HRT, mental health, intimacy, fitness, lifestyle and navigating this stage of life.
In observance of World Menopause Day, the University of St. Martin will host a public lecture titled “(Peri)Menopause… Nobody Told Me This!” on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM in Room 202 at the USM campus.

The evening is designed to create an open and informative space to discuss the many changes and experiences that can accompany perimenopause and menopause.

The conversation will go beyond hot flashes to explore topics including hormonal and physical changes, Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), mental health, well-being and intimacy, fitness, lifestyle changes, and natural and herbal approaches to navigating this stage of life.

The panel will feature:
- Dr. Laurien Reinders – General Practitioner
- Kenan L’Homme – Certified Naturopathic Practitioner and Menopause Coach
- Amy Arrindell – Educator, Counselor and Author; Founder & CEO of Amy Arrindell Knowledge Toolbox


The discussion will be moderated by Khalilah Peters. Participants will also have an opportunity to ask questions during the session.

Those who may have a sensitive or personal question can submit it anonymously in advance for the panel.

USM encourages members of the community who are experiencing perimenopause or menopause, supporting someone through it, or simply interested in learning more to join the conversation.
