Topic: The Latest Developments on Diagnosing and Treatment Protocols for Developing Dementia Conditions
Pond Island – In honor of World Alzheimer's Month, USM is proud to announce a series of enlightening health lectures throughout the month of September. These events are aimed at raising awareness about Alzheimer's and other dementia-related conditions, offering valuable insights for healthcare professionals and the general public, and providing strategies to reduce the risk of developing dementia.
The lectures will take place every Tuesday in September, each targeting a specific audience:

1. September 12, 2023 - "The Latest Developments on Diagnosing and Treatment Protocols for Developing Dementia Conditions"
This event, designed for healthcare providers, will feature keynote speaker Dr. Carmen Marques, an esteemed neurologist at the St Maarten Medical Center. Dr. Marques will discuss the most recent advancements in diagnosing and treating dementia conditions, providing healthcare professionals with cutting-edge information.

2. September 19, 2023- "We Can Optimize Our Brain Health. Check Your Brain. Never Too Early! Never Too Late! Reduce Dementia Risk Now!"
Open to the general public, this lecture will empower individuals to take control of their brain health. Attendees will learn about proactive measures they can take to lower the risk of dementia. The event aims to spread the important message that it is "Never Too Early" or "Never Too Late" to begin prioritizing brain health.

3. September 26, 2023 - "The Most Important Organ in My Body Is My Brain! How Healthy Is My Brain? How to Reduce the Risk of Developing Dementia From Now On!"
Geared toward youth (15 -25 years old), this lecture will emphasize the importance of brain health from a young age. It will provide information on assessing and improving brain health and focus on the importance of early intervention.
