USM Invites Community to June Information Session
June 9, 2026
The University of St. Martin will host an Information Session on June 17, 2026, for prospective students, parents, and working professionals interested in learning more about CFY, degree programs, GED, ESL, admissions, and student support services.
Pond Island, St. Maarten — The University of St. Martin (USM) is inviting prospective students, parents, guardians, working professionals, and community members to attend its upcoming Information Session on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on the USM campus.
The session is designed to help individuals explore the various educational pathways available through USM and gain a better understanding of the admissions process, program requirements, tuition options, and student support services.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet faculty members, program coordinators, admissions representatives, and support staff while learning more about:
- Caribbean Foundation Year (CFY)
- Associate Degree Programs
- Bachelor's Degree Programs
- GED
- English as a Second Language (ESL)
- Tuition and Payment Plans
- Student Support Services
According to USM Marketing Consultant Shobhan Giterson, the information session is an opportunity for students and families to receive personalized guidance as they consider their next educational step.
"Choosing a program of study is an important decision, and sometimes students simply need an opportunity to ask questions, explore their options, and learn what resources are available to support them. This session is designed to provide that space and help students make informed decisions about their future," Giterson explained.
USM encourages current exam and pre-exam students, recent graduates, GED graduates, working professionals, and individuals considering a return to education to attend the session. Parents and guardians are also strongly encouraged to participate, as they play an important role in supporting students throughout their educational journey.
Applications are currently open for the August 2026 intake, and admissions staff will be available throughout the evening to assist prospective students with beginning or completing their applications.
Persons interested in attending are encouraged to pre-register using the online registration form or contact the Admissions Department for additional information.
