March 23, 2026
USM recognizes graduates from its BTEC Hospitality and Business programs, highlighting their achievements and continued academic journeys locally and abroad.
The University of St. Martin continues to celebrate the achievements of its students through the successful completion of its Pearson BTEC programs within the Hospitality and Business Division.
As USM begins gearing up for its 2026 graduation season, the institution reflects on the continued success of its students and the impact of its career-focused academic pathways.
A key milestone includes the recognition of nine graduates from the Hospitality and Business Division, with eight completing the BTEC Business Management Level 4 program and one earning the BTEC Hospitality & Tourism Management Level 5 qualification, a testament to the strength of USM’s applied and industry-relevant education.
Graduates of these programs receive not only an internationally recognized Pearson BTEC certificate or diploma, but also a USM Associate Degree, strengthening their academic and professional opportunities both regionally and internationally.
Several graduates have already taken the next step in their journeys, continuing their studies in the Netherlands, while others are pursuing further education online at institutions such as Monroe College. These transitions reflect USM’s role in preparing students for continued academic success and global opportunities.
Head of the Hospitality and Business Division, Mr. Jan van Beek, commended the students for their dedication and achievements, stating “We are extremely proud of our graduates and their accomplishments. We congratulate them and wish them every success in their future studies. We also hope that those studying abroad will return to St. Maarten and contribute their skills and knowledge to our community.”
USM’s BTEC programs are designed to provide students with practical, career-oriented skills while creating clear pathways toward further education. By combining academic foundation with real-world relevance, the University continues to support students in building meaningful careers both locally and abroad.
As USM looks ahead to its upcoming graduation, the University remains committed to empowering students to grow, succeed, and contribute to the development of St. Maarten and the wider region.
