USM Students Shine at Kingdom Startup Program in Aruba

Six USM students are proudly representing St. Maarten at the Kingdom Startup Program in Aruba. Competing as two teams of three, they have already made a strong impression while developing innovative business ideas alongside young entrepreneurs from across the Dutch Kingdom.
Two teams of student entrepreneurs from USM are proudly representing St. Maarten at the Kingdom Startup Program, currently taking place in Aruba.
The six students were selected to participate in the regional entrepreneurship program, where aspiring innovators from across the Dutch Kingdom are working together to develop business ideas, strengthen their entrepreneurial skills, and collaborate with peers from Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire, Saba, St. Eustatius, and the Netherlands.
During the opening activities, the USM delegation had the opportunity to meet State Secretary Eric van der Burg, highlighting the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation in strengthening collaboration across the Kingdom.
Representing both USM and St. Maarten, the students are participating as two teams of three and have already made a strong impression throughout the program through their creativity, teamwork, and innovative ideas.
The Kingdom Startup Program provides participants with valuable mentorship, interactive workshops, networking opportunities, and the chance to refine their business concepts while learning from experienced entrepreneurs and industry professionals.
USM congratulates its student entrepreneurs for proudly representing the university and St. Maarten on the regional stage and wishes both teams continued success as they progress through the remainder of the program.
