USM Welcomes New Students for Fall 2025 Orientation

August 12, 2025

The team at USM is set to welcome our newest cohort of students for the Fall 2025 Student Orientation on Friday, August 15, 2025, just days before the semester officially begins on August 18.
The orientation serves as an essential introduction to life at USM, designed to help students navigate the transition into higher education with confidence. Throughout the day, participants will:

- Meet their Division Heads, staff, and fellow students
- Receive guidance on academic expectations, student services, and campus policies
- Get tips for balancing coursework with personal commitments
- Learn about student clubs, organizations, and ways to get involved in campus life

All newly admitted students are encouraged to attend, as orientation will provide important information about courses, schedules, and available support services.

USM President Dr. Antonio Carmona Báez emphasized the importance of orientation in setting the tone for success:

“Orientation is more than just an introduction to the campus it’s the first step in building relationships, discovering opportunities, and feeling part of the USM family. We want our students to know that they are not just starting a program but they are joining a supportive community committed to their growth.”

For more details about the event, students may contact the Student Services Center or visit the Admissions Office.
