June 6, 2026

The 23rd Annual St. Martin Book Fair officially opened under the theme “Soualiga Flambo,” bringing together authors, educators, students, and community members for a celebration of Caribbean literature, culture, literacy, and storytelling at USM.
The 23rd Annual St. Martin Book Fair officially opened on Friday, June 5, bringing together authors, educators, students, cultural practitioners, and literary enthusiasts from across the region under the theme “Soualiga Flambo.”

The University of St. Martin is proud to once again partner with the Conscious Lyrics Foundation, SOS Radio, Computech, and other community stakeholders in hosting one of the Caribbean’s longest-running literary events.

The opening day featured school visits, author roundtable discussions, and the first General Session hosted at USM, creating opportunities for dialogue on literature, education, culture, and the role of storytelling in shaping communities.

The celebration continues on Saturday, June 6, with Main Book Fair Day at the University of St. Martin. Activities include author meet-and-greets, book signings, workshops, panel discussions, children's activities, an open mic session, and the Presidents’ Forum. The event will conclude with the Literary Evening and Closing Ceremony.

For more than two decades, the St. Martin Book Fair has provided a platform for readers and writers to connect while promoting literacy, cultural expression, and Caribbean storytelling.

USM invites students, faculty, staff, and members of the wider community to participate in the activities and join in celebrating the power of literature, education, and cultural heritage.

The St. Martin Book Fair continues through Saturday, June 6, 2026, on the USM campus.
