As a USM business management student, you will be introduced to the world of international business, management, and critical management theories. We also focus on what makes our Caribbean region so different and exciting. USM business management teaches in an “active learning” style, so you’ll develop the proper knowledge and attitude necessary to be a successful manager. The program emphasizes critical and creative thinking, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the capacity to function in a cross-cultural environment.

Management Concentration

USM’s Associate of Arts degree in Management is the ideal start towards a Bachelors degree with our esteemed partner universities and colleges, including Monroe College and Steden University, among others. This degree gives you essential skills and knowledge, offering a significant advantage as you embark on your academic journey towards a fulfilling professional career.

Accounting & Finance Concentration

The program educates the student in depth towards the field of
business and then more specific Accounting and Finance, including
Financial Reporting, Management and Financial Accounting,
Operations Management, Research and an Internship.

To meet the above objectives, USM uses the internationally renowned Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) curriculum for Business. Upon completing this program, students will earn the internationally recognized British Higher National Certificate in Business next to their USM Associate of Arts in Business. The Business program is accredited by BTEC and is an EQF Level-5 program.
