Acquire the necessary skills, concepts, and experiences over ten (10) months, to be admitted into a degree program at USM or elsewhere. This program includes a GED degree.
The USM Preparatory Program (Pre-USM) is a ten-month college preparatory program. It allows students from the vocational branch of secondary school to acquire the necessary skills, concepts, and experiences to be admitted into a USM degree program or be prepared for a college placement test at another educational institution.

The Pre-USM offers a blend of courses in mathematics, natural sciences and social sciences, and linguistics that sharpen the communication and critical thinking skills necessary for the tertiary education level.

Students will earn their GED in addition to nine (9) skill courses, including, but not limited to, Algebra, Life Science, English Tutoring. One-on-one sessions with teachers are available, as well as counseling. Morning and evening programs run concurrently.
